CARE Natural Wellness Center is a "One-stop Natural Health Care Center" offering a full spectrum of alternative therapies to address the various health needs of each patient. Natural and safe methods are used for the relief of acute and chronic pain and other health conditions. Our goal is to determine and deal with the cause of your problem, not just treat the symptoms. For more detailed information about the topics below, please visit the "Chiropractic", "Nutrition Services", and "Wellness Center" links at the top of our home page.
The nervous system is the body's electrical "super highway" that controls all bodily functions. Gentle chiropractic adjustments remove the source of interference to the nervous system allowing the body's natural healing ability to restore normal function. Our doctors use a variety of safe and effective techniques to accommodate the varying needs of each patient. These manipulation techniques include Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), Applied Kinesiology, Activator, Thompson, Diversified, Logan Basic, and Arthrostim. Dr. Brian Walsh is also trained in the Graston Technique, which is an effective method of treating soft tissue conditions.
Many times there are underlying nutritional deficiencies associated with musculoskeletal disorders that must be addressed in order to obtain maximum improvement for the patient. With the often-confusing trends and information in the media, it is important to have a knowledgeable and trusted resource to consult in the area of nutrition. Dr. Walsh has received additional post-graduate training in the field of nutrition and he uses diet, homeopathy, and vitamin/herbal supplementation to design a nutrition plan that is tailored for the differing needs of each individual.
Our doctors are able to get to the cause of many health problems by using the Nutrition Response Testing® technique. This technique is used to identify areas of distress or imbalance in the body that can contribute to or lead to ill health. We offer a complete Nutritional Health Analysis which includes a Body Fat Analysis, a Nervous System Stress Test, a Nutrition Response Test, and a written Report of Findings with recommendations. PEMF and Light Therapies
Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Therapy, commonly known as PEMF, is energy medicine. PEMF therapy introduces a low frequency pulsed electro-magnetic field (PEMF) that recharges the cells of the body, consequently enhancing circulation, oxygenation and hydration. At the same time cellular ability to absorb nutrients and remove toxins from the body is greatly increased. Because it works at the cellular level, studies have shown that PEMF may be beneficial to a wide range of conditions. It can regrow bone and cartilage, manage pain, regenerate neurological pathways, boost healthy aging, enhance performance, and much more.
Celluma Light Therapy delivers blue, red, and near-infrared light energy simultaneously to safely treat a wide variety of conditions. Research has shown that light therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone and wrinkles, texture and clarity, ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm and arthritis.
In addition to chiropractic services, many times there is a need for rehabilitative care. Dr. Walsh performs gait and movement analysis to determine if improper muscle movement patterns are the root cause of arm, leg, back, neck, and headache pain. The patient is then given simple exercises in the office to do at home that reeducate the neuromuscular system and prevent the reoccurrence of their original symptoms.
Thermography of Brevard schedules appointments Thermographyseveral days a week at this location. Thermography, or digital infrared thermal imaging, is a radiation-free, non-invasive, FDA approved screening tool for total body health. It is used for detecting and monitoring a number of diseases and physical injuries, including breast disease, unexplained pain, vascular disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve damage and more. It shows the thermal abnormalities in the body. A doctor interprets the images and prepares a report which is available in a few days. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State CSTUniversity where he served as professor of biomechanics.
Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction. Contact Darlene Fay, R.N., CranioSacral Therapist, directly at 321-427-6893 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
